Operating a global portfolio of customer shipments, delivering consistently excellent customer outcomes and providing high delivery performance standards, the Suttons team based from our Belgian location in Antwerp works collaboratively with each customer to create a tailored logistics solution.

We apply account management techniques to each of our customers, including allocated sales and operational leaders to manage each customer’s requirements effectively. One of our key Belgian accounts is a major European supplier of propriety product used in the reduction of harmful emissions within the shipping industry.

Our customer’s product is required to be loaded onto cruise or cargo vessel manifolds directly from the tank container at port while the ships are anchored. This requires both precise tank planning to meet the ships, which are often only docked for a short time before departing onwards, and advanced technical knowledge to offload the product in a safe and efficient manner at destination.

Our sales, local operations and technical service teams work collaboratively making sure our customer’s product is collected safely from their plant in Western Europe. The team also utilises the strength of the Suttons global network, with offices staffed by full operations and technical teams in all international regions, to ensure that the supply chain delivering to eight ports in four different countries are completed safely and on time.

We manage over 20 complex deliveries each month, requiring thoughtful planning and perfect execution. Our teams co-ordinate all logistical elements to align precisely, providing our customer with a responsive, and consistently reliable service. Any delivery delays would have a negative impact-by delaying the loading vessels onward journey, and due to the nature of the delivery point, directly on the port or docks, the utmost care is always taken to safeguard the local environment and personnel while the offloading is completed.

The end use of these products, which plays a vital role in the reduction of harmful NOx and SOx emissions in the shipping industry, represents the same pledge that our business has to the environment.
